Teacher Johara

Teacher Jo has been passionate about music since childhood. Recognized by her parents for her love of pop and classical music at the age of four, she began teaching herself to play the bamboo flute and by the third grade, she had begun learning guitar. Continuing her musical journey, she enrolled at the University of the Philippines Extension Program guided by esteemed mentors such as Mr. James Diaz and Prof. Mauricia Borromeo to begin learning the piano. This led her to pursue a Bachelor's Degree Major in Piano Performance at the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music.

She graduated cum laude under the tutelage of Assoc. Professor Peter Porticos.

She participated in various concerts organized by the UST Conservatory of Music, including the annual "Sampung Daliri Atbp." concert held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), and "Christmas at the Piano" of the Keyboard Department, and had been an active officer (Treasurer) of the Keyboard Department of the UST Conservatory of Music.

In her leisure moments, she indulges in her love for classical and pop music, and exploring the beautiful intricacies of the Swedish language.
